Jennifer and Gary; A Valentine’s Day Wedding

My eyes opened on the not-so-fair day of Febuary 14th to a window full of snowflakes. Ohhh yes, I thought, this is going to be perfect. I could already see the snow-globe snow-white picture I was going to take in the park of Jennifer and Gary in my minds eye. Little did I know, this was not to be the story of their day… haha. Jennifer actually had a small trip to the emergency room in the morning before I got there from a piece of food that got stuck in her throat (wish I could have documented the hospital visit!). Though stressful, I think that this was a good omen - a big obstacle she overcame on her wedding day, one final test she passed beautifully… hahaha. Luckily she’s got a solid head on her shoulders and the trip barely fazed her. She picked up her day without a missing a beat when she came back - hair, makeup, limo, church, dress (oh, quick shave!), ceremony, family pictures, too-cold-for-pictures-anyway-plus-the-roof-blew-snow-that-buried-the-videographer pictures, limo again (jello shots…), reception… then things started slowing down… dinner and awesome dancing. Jennifer and Gary were on the whole extremely in love and extremely relaxed, a combination I relish in my bride and groom. The pictures came out absolutely beeeeeautiful. Here’s a collage to tie everyone over before the album design goes up. Leave me some comments or drop me a line with any questions. Xoxo, Isabelle

I just have to say, these pictures have brought tears to my eyes- you’ve done such a wonderful job capturing the feelings that surrounded their day. It was almost organized chaos- and, yet through all that- you could just see how in love they are– I cannot thank you enough for what a wonderful job you’ve done in telling Gary and Jen’s story-

What can we say besides thank you! I am a project manager by profession. My days revolve around schedules and timelines and flawless delivery. I had my wedding scheduled much the same way (albiet the butt of several jokes as the date drew nearer…) Everyone had a schedule, everyone knew their time and their role until…well until it all fell apart the night before!

Thanks to family and friends, they picked up and pitched in (without the aid of a gantt chart) and outside of the actual ceremony starting 45 minutes late, no one would have known that I had emergency outpatient surgery two hours prior to the wedding, the wedding bouquet froze in the freezer and had to be replaced entirely, the groom’s truck broke down with all the church decorations inside, and just three days prior the basement flooded and the boxes of reception decorations had to be rescued.

My point here is that we met with everyone, we paid our deposits, and we had a plan. When that all went to hell our photographer, our videographer, our wedding party and parents, and our priest all rolled with the punches. Just seeing the preview of the beautiful shots that Isabelle managed to get assures me that even without the extra hour in the park and the rushed pictures on the altar at the church, she did an excellent job and I could not have asked for anything more (even if we’d stayed on schedule).

Thanks so much for making our day so memorable!
